SINGING

Elizabeth is a graduate of the Opera Course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (GSMD) and continues to study with John Evans. She is rejoining the Glyndebourne Festival Opera chorus for the 2021 season. Elizabeth covered the role of First Lady for Glyndebourne’s production of The Magic Flute (Mozart) in English and was a soloist in the Glyndebourne Christmas Concerts Autumn 2020. Previously she made her National Theatre debut as a member of the ‘Opera Club’ and cover Katerina Cavalieri at the National Theatre in Amadeus (Mozart, Vivaldi and additional music by Simon Slater). Previous other roles include; Fiordiligi Così fan tutte (Mozart) and Countessa Almaviva Le Nozze di Figaro (Mozart) for Clonter Opera. She has also sang and cover the role of Micaëla Carmen (Bizet) both at RNCM and for EPOC.

Roles whilst on the Opera Course included; Iolanta – title role (Tchkaiovsky), Fraarte – Radamisto (Handel) and she created the role of Proserpina in the world premier of The Tale of Januarie in collaboration with the Royal Opera House (ROH) (Julian Phillips and Stephen Plaice).

Opera Scenes include excerpts from; Don Giovanni – Donna Anna, La Clemenza di Tito – Vitellia, Fidelio – Leonora, Eugene Onegin – Tatiana, Peter Grimes – Ellen Orford, Die Tote Stadt – Marietta and Arabella – title role.

Elizabeth has recorded for the LSO with Sir Simon Rattle as a soloist in Schumann’s Das Paradies und die Peri and has sung extensively throughout the UK as a soloist, most recently she has performed Verdi’s Requiem, Handel’s Dixit Dominus and Haydn’s Nelson Mass. Elizabeth was a Baroness de Turckheim Scholar and a Sybil Tutton Award Winner.

An experienced teacher, Elizabeth is passionate about sharing music and encouraging people to sing! Pupils regularly achieve high results in examinations both in singing and music theory for several musical boards including; the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM), Trinity, LCM Musical Theatre and Trinity Rock and Pop. From Grades 1-8 and including ABRSM and Trinity Performance Certificates and diplomas. Elizabeth is very proud to have students who have performed in the West End, released albums and continued their musical studies to degree level. Elizabeth’s students have succeeded in gaining places to Music College, Universities and Performing Arts Colleges.
